Pianists set to perform pop favourites at free UGT show

TWO PIANISTS will deliver two hours of pop classics and show-tunes at the Under Ground Theatre on August 25 (10am-noon).

Opening the show, on both electronic keyboard and concert grand piano, will be Dee Rivers, a big fan of audience participation who last performed at the UGT on Christmas Eve 2011. She’ll be playing some familiar singalong numbers, as well as songs from “Mary Poppins” and “Mama Mia”, and others by the likes of the Beatles and Don McLean.

After a break, the entertainment will be provided by Michael Sellings, a regular at the Under Ground accompanying the Evergreen Singers.

His piano repertoire will include Neil Diamond’s “Love on the Rocks”, as well as Billy Joel’s “Hello Again”, Barry Manilow’s “New England” and “If” by David Gates.

Entry is free.
