The first of a new series of Monday lunchtime recitals at St Saviour’s church begins on Monday June 6 when Alex Eadon will present a recital of popular organ music from 1pm.
Alex is deputy director of music at Eastbourne College.
Paul Collins of St Saviour’s church said: “We are extremely lucky to have him in Eastbourne and we are delighted to welcome him back... He has a phenomenal pedigree and you can be assured of a brilliant concert. He was organ scholar at Eton School, choral scholar at Kings College Cambridge - you might even have seen him on the telly - and then went on to be head of organ at Oundel School.
“His programme includes the ever-popular Toccata from Widor’s fifth symphony and lots of other favourites which will leave you thoroughly entertained!
“Entry to the recital is free and there will be a retiring collection in aid of our organ fund. Coffee and biscuits will be served at the end of the concert. Do come along.”
