Tomorrow (Saturday March 12) sees a lunchtime concert to be given by soprano Julia Kemp and pianist Rosemary Kemp at St Leonard’s Church in Church Street, Seaford, at 1pm.
The concert will include music by Handel, Schubert, Mozart and Chopin, and last approximately an hour; free admission with a retiring collection.
Julia read music at Trinity College, Cambridge, and was a choral scholar in chapel choir. During this time, she participated in two performances of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio which were broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 from St John’s, Smith Square, and toured with the choir to the USA, Canada and Germany.
Rosemary, formerly a scholarship pupil and prize winner at the Royal College of Music, performs and teaches piano, harpsichord and electronic and digital keyboard professionally, and plays regularly at these lunchtime concerts.
