With an extraordinary career that includes an appearance at the first ever Glastonbury Festival, folk and blues legend Keith Christmas guests at The Lamb Folk Club on Wednesday, August 17.
Emerging from the London folk club scene, Keith recorded his first album Stimulus in 1969 with Mighty Baby as session players. That same year he was a regular as the main act at Beckenham Arts Lab, then run by a rising star called David Bowie. He subsequently played acoustic guitar on Bowie’s first album Space Oddity.
The 1970s saw him touring as the opening act for bands such as King Crimson, Ten Years After, The Kinks, Frank Zappa and Roxy Music.
In more recent years, Keith has spent time teaching, but the performance bug has never been far away.
