Voices Choir, which has members based in Eastbourne and Pevensey Bay, has yet again raised the roof at The Royal Hippodrome Theatre.
Their recent summer spectacular raised £1506 for MIND, the mental health charity.
A packed house enjoyed songs such as Hello, Put A Little Love In Your Heart, and the powerful Writing’s On The Wall.
Choir director Diana Terry said: “The audience were on their feet, and clapping and singing along to the upbeat numbers, and swaying with phone lights on to the beautiful ballads. The choir celebrated its fourth birthday this month, and has gone from strength to strength over this time. Among its notable successes has been winning the Eastbourne Herald’s award for Best Community Group, appearing on stage with the Brit award winners Blake, singing on the Bandstand, and rocking out at Steampunk. Voices have raised many thousands of pound for charities over the years.
You are invited to join with this amazing group of people to have fun, sing, make new friends and raise money for good causes. There are no auditions to endure, no previous experience required, and you don’t need to read music. The new term is just about to begin on Wednesday evenings in Eastbourne, and Thursdays in Pevensey Bay at lunchtime and evening. Fun is guaranteed! Check out our website www.voiceschoir.co.uk.”
