Heroes Band next Saturday

The Heroes Band will be playing in the open air of the castle courtyard at Herstmonceux on Saturday July 2.

The performance will be for Help for Heroes, the much-loved charity which aims to deliver an enduring national network of support for the UK’s wounded service men and women and their families. The Heroes Band was formed in 2014 and now has over sixty musicians to call upon, including ex-members of military bands as The Royal Marines and the Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards.

The band’s director of music is David Smart LLCM, an ex-member of the Life Guards Band of the Household Cavalry. The Castle grounds are open all day for picnicking with the concert beginning at 6pm. Some seating provided but bring rugs, cushions or low backed chairs. Tickets £17.50 (Seniors & U16 – £15) can be purchased on 01323 834479, and on the gate on the day.
