Cancion Gitana will bring a truly historic Flamenco show to Eastbourne Festival this summer.
Cafe de Chinitas is an authentic re-creation of a Flamenco performance from the golden age of Andalucian music and dance in the early 20th century, a 100 minute spectacular with a small cast of internationally acclaimed artists. Cancion Gitana are choreographer and principal dancer Helena “La Leyenda” who has performed on stages all around Europe, and was formerly resident Flamenco teacher at Sadlers Wells. Joining her is exciting young dancer Rosarito, the singing, poetic and narration skills of Madrid’s Rosario Serrano, the rich cante jondo voice of Andalucian singer Fernando Reyes, and the guitar of Ramon Contreras.
