A performance featuring Eastbourne College’s Director of Music, Daniel Jordan, and Assistant Director of Music, Alexander Eadon will be taking place at the Birley Centre on Tuesday 24 May, 7.30pm.
The programme will include music by Finzi, Purcell, Handel, Vaughan Williams, Lehrer and Flanders and Swann.
Daniel Jordan was educated at Wells Cathedral School and as a choral scholar at St John’s College, Cambridge. He then studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he was supported by both the Academy and a Star Award from the Countess of Munster Trust. Graduating with distinction from the opera course he worked with conductors such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Trevor Pinnock, Edward Gardiner, Daniel Harding and Kurt Masur and sang as a soloist with the English Concert, the Monteverdi Choir and Florilegium.
Alexander Eadon was a chorister at King’s College, Cambridge, and a music scholar at Harrow. After a year as organ scholar at St Martin-in-the-Fields he trained at the Royal Academy of Music, completing his studies at Middlesex University. Alongside this, he was director of music at Christ Church, Southgate in North London, and conductor of the Southgate Symphony Orchestra.
