THE Eastbourne Concert Orchestra will be presenting three concerts to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee year.
The first is being held at the Town Hall on Tuesday, March 29 - starting at 7.45pm.
The orchestra, conducted by Adrian Shepherd MBE, will be performing Nielsen’s Helios Overture, which is a powerful evocation of the sun – from its rise in the morning, through the fierce heat of the day to a gentle sunset.
Also on the programme is Reinecke’s first Symphony - Schumannesque in style, followed by the magnificent film music to The Big Country by Moross.
Beethoven’s Violin Concerto will be performed in the second half.
Tickets for the first of the Diamond Jubilee concerts are £8.
