‘Ahoy, Sing for the Mary Rose’ is a new work being performed on Saturday July 4 - first day of the Eastbourne Festival.
At 7.30pm at All Saints Church in Grange Road, composer Alexander l’Estrange will be performing with his jazz quintet, accompanying Eastbourne Choral Society with local school choirs, St John’s Meads, and Wallands, Lewes. for a modern concert charting the story of The Mary Rose. Conducted by John Hancorn and with sea shanties and songs this promises to be a fun light-hearted event.
