Keeping up the tradition of stories

The next meeting of the Eastbourne Storytellers will be on Wednesday February 24 with a theme of Horse Play.

The session will be held at Upperton URC Hall in Watts Lane from 7.30pm.

The group was started in 1996 by Pat Keysell, an actress, who founded the National Theatre for the Deaf and used to appear in Vision On on BBC TV. Each meeting has a theme for the first part of the evening and tellers are asked to relate stories on the theme. After the break anyone can tell any story they choose. The main rule is that stories must be told, not read, Anyone is welcome to come and listen and/or tell as they wish. Next month’s theme is Giddy Goat on Wednesday March 23.
