Jazz natural Gill Cook will be coming to the Under Ground Theatre with her Quartet on November 7 at 8pm.
Gill emerged on the London Jazz scene in 2001 and was instantly recognised as a star in the making. A few years on and Gill’s charismatic performances, clear and pure delivery of jazz ballads and enticing mix of jazz and Latin fusion delivered with soul, has firmly established her as a major talent in the British jazz scene.
Gill made her debut at Ealing Jazz Festival in July 2007 and returned this year. She recorded her first CD in 2003 called “Sometime Ago” and her second in May 2014 titled “Morning with You”.
After years of working in rock and rhythm and blues bands across the country Gill turned her attention to jazz and based on the result, it may be where her attention belonged all along. Tickets cost £11.
