Ruby Wax’s sell-out one-woman theatre show Sane New World: Taming the Mind comes to the Devonshire Park Theatre on Saturday, May 23.
The show is based on Ruby’s No.1 Sunday Times best-selling book Sane New World: Taming the Mind, in which she helps us understand why we sabotage our sanity, how our brains work and how we can rewire our thinking to find calm in a frenetic world.
Using her signature humour Ruby has adapted her book into a thought-provoking comedy show. She takes audiences on a hilarious tour of the brain and how to tame it, providing a manual on how to survive the 21st century using knowledge from her recent Master’s Degree in Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy at Oxford University.
People laugh - but they also learn something. Ruby has a magical way of using humour to engage her audience about serious issues.
Sane New World is personal and funny, has a broad appeal and people really relate and respond to it.
It has just been announced that Ruby will be awarded an OBE for her services to mental health in the Honorary British Awards to Foreign Nationals. In recent years, she has campaigned tirelessly to create awareness about mental health issues.
