The battered face of former RAF pilot John Peters was flashed across the world after his plane was shot down during Operation Desert Storm in the first Gulf War in 1991.
As the RAF fly missions into the Middle East once again, a talk from John to could not be more poignant. He was held hostage, interrogated and tortured over a period of 47 days. He has subsequently written a best-selling account of his imprisonment, Tornado Down, and runs a management consultancy business. His informative and dramatic illustrated talk will focus on confronting and learning from failure. The talk is being held at the Birley Centre on Friday January 8, 6pm. Tickets £9 from 452255 or firstname.lastname@example.org
