Dickens classic at Devonshire

The award-winning EODS Youth Productions are preparing to stage A Christmas Carol at the Devonshire Park Theatre for half-term week.

This vibrant and atmospheric musical, written by Piers Chater Robinson with book and lyrics by Chris Blackwood, based on the novel by Charles Dickens, offers a cavalcade of colourful characters in a show filled with joy, laughter and heartbreaking moments.

This much-loved classic tale is as relevant today as it was in Dickens time and the cast of 50 is directed by TV atar, Moira Brooker (best known as Judith in the BBC’s “As Time Goes By”.

This show for all the family runs from Wednesday, October 30 to Saturday, November 2 - nightly 7.45pm with 2.30pm matinees on the Friday and Saturday. Seats at £12 (concessions £10) and family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) £40 - call 412000.

There is a Halloween Fancy Dress Competition at the Thursday evening performance with a chance to win a fabulous prize for the best costume.
