Comedian brings brand of playfulness and bitterness to club

PREPARE for an evening filled with laughter as Screaming Blue Murder Comedy Club returns to the Winter Garden on August 26.

This bank holiday August weekend, Rob Heeney, Eddy Brimson and George Egg take to the stage to entertain the crowds, while Dan Evans will be on hand to compere and keep proceedings in order!

Headlining this month is Rob Heeney, back with his blend of bitterness, playfulness and cynicism all wrapped up in a blanket of charm.

Rob has appeared in top UK clubs including The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, The Glee & Up The Creek, where his versatility, quick wit and excellent ad-libbing skills have made him a much sought after comic and compere.

The last 18 months have seen Rob travel to the far reaching countries of The United Arab Emirates, USA, the Netherlands and South Africa, as well as writing for Jamie Theakston’s Breakfast Show on Heart FM, and regular guest appearances on Sky News Press Review.

Joining Rob this month is Eddy Brimson. A familiar face on the UK comedy circuit, Eddy is a regular at venues such as Jongleurs, Banana Cabaret and Belfast Empire. In 2001 Eddy performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of the Gilded Balloon Midnight Show.

Completing the line-up this summer is George Egg. Brandishing the worlds second largest briefcase containing a battery of ridiculous props, George bounds onto the stage to perform one of the most original, interesting, innovative and sweetly whimsical comedy performances you are ever likely to see.

Hailed as a Tommy Cooper for the 21st century, George blends alternative stand-up comedy and music hall variety, perfectly.

Returning to keep all three comics in-check this month is compere Dan Evans.

Doors open at 8pm for a 9pm start. Tickets cost £9, call 412000.
