Eastbourne Bandstand visitors can expect some magical highlights in 2014 with a new Sunday evening spot featuring music from Downton Abbey, a James Bond theme night and a performance from the Military Wives Choir of Shorncliffe.
Tickets go on sale from Sunday (December 1) enabling fans to book ahead from a choice of more than 100 concerts next season.
Performed by The Kaleidoscope Salon Orchestra, the Downton Abbey classical spectacular on Sunday, August 31, will feature music from the series and the post-Edwardian era, with a themed ‘Downton Tea’ available earlier in the afternoon at the Grand Hotel.
An Evening of James Bond on Sunday, August 24, brings the favourite Bond themes performed by The Bond Band created by former BBC Symphony Orchestra trumpeter Warren Ringham.
On Sunday, July 27, The Military Wives Choir of Shorncliffe perform with special guests, the Swingtime Sweethearts, in a concert in aid of military charities.
After a successful concert this summer, Storm! return with Electric Proms on September 7 along with a new Electric Strings show on Sunday, July 13, featuring the world class violinists in an explosive and electrifying act.
‘Abba’ launches the Friday Night Tribute season on May 2 - the season including the music of Olly Murs, One Direction, Take That, Bon Jovi, U2, Adele, Tom Jones, Queen and The Beatles.
The weekly 1812 Firework concerts return with a bumper line up of extra concerts from Wednesday, May 7, with other weekly concerts including the Big Band Sound from Thursday, June 26; Kids Party Nights from Tuesday, July 29; and a week-long concert programme from the Royal British Legion (August 3-8).
Traditional Sunday concerts run from May 4 with a free Easter concert to mark the reopening of the Bandstand after winter renovations.
