Weekend film festival will bost East Sussex children’s charity

A sci-fi and fantasy film festival will be held this weekend to support Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

Hyperdrive 2015 will take place on Saturday and Sunday (October 10/11) at Hailsham’s Pavilion.

Demelza provides care to more than 150 children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in East Sussex.

At the event, movie makers from around the world will show their latest productions and visitors will be able to enjoy more than 30 independent sci-fi and fantasy films.

There will be eight screenings and a chance to see what’s new from some of the greatest up-and-coming directors in the world of sci-fi and fantasy film.

There will also be a selection of awards made during the weekend, with categories including best feature film, best leading actor, best visual effects and best animated film.
