Following highly-successful autumn exhibitions, Nigel Greaves has unveiled another collection of harmonious and serene seascapes, landscapes and abstract works with a sporting theme of running, golf, tennis and cycling.

A lover of light on nature, Nigel orchestrates a highly-colourful palette that finely reflects the solidarity and energy of his compositions.

His paintings are an enchantments of colour, the moods and places are sometimes familiar while others are purely imaginary but always alive with vibrant realism.

This new exhibition runs in tandem with Nigel’s retrospective one until May.

Nigel’s paintings are dominated with carefully chosen tones exhaling a mixture of brilliantly colourful surfaces – reds, yellows, blues and oranges, all in rich textures that work together.

His generous use of high quality pigment and an experienced understanding of light can be seen to bathe scenes in a tranquil unreality that we sometimes wish to be real.

The joy of nature is symbolised by his sometimes imaginary locations where he likes to represent scenery in a timeless and often reclusive serenity.
