Artistic and business communities have come together to launch The Little Chelsea Arts Festival with the work of over 30 local artists featured in 16 locations.
The event has been organised by South Street Art Studios and sponsored by Ashprint.
Since they were launched in 2014, South Street Art Studios classes have gone from strength to strength and are now firmly established at the centre of the hub. Throughout the Festival they will be showing paintings and drawings by Studio tutors and guest artists, all based in and around Eastbourne. There will also be free demonstrations of techniques including watercolour, mono printing and oil painting each afternoon from 3-4pm.
The newly opened Art House Creative Café in Grove Road will be running art workshops and competitions for children and around the corner in South Street. Tea and Interiors with its courtyard café will feature live music by local musicians Ruth and Robin, and vocalist Linda Carpenter.
Over at the Enterprise Centre the ‘Little Art Trail’ will take in arts and craft shops, and there is also the new Makery gallery, with a collective of 10 local artists.
There will be opportunities to buy original works of art and limited edition prints at affordable prices including landscapes inspired by the beauty of Sussex. Also on show will be unique pieces of fused glass, exquisite modern ceramics and beautiful cards for every occasion.
Running from July 28-30, Little Chelsea Arts Festival looks set to be a key destination for artistic creativity in all its varied and exciting forms.
