After a two year search, local author Jane Bwye has identified a charity to support with her award-nominated book, Breath of Africa.
The proceeds go St Peter’s Lifeline, supporting micro-businesses in a forgotten village called Kajuki in the shadow of Mount Kenya.
Jane commented: “At this moment in time I feel like the proverbial widow with her mite, as everyone knows that ordinary authors earn peanuts from their books. But I have sent in my pennies.”
Jane will be giving a reading at 3pm on Sunday September 20 at the Underground Theatre and is available to chat with interested visitors about her book and the charity she supports during the Eastbourne Book Festival this weekend.
