Searching for young male lead in Seaford

SMTJ Community Youth Performing Arts Group in Seaford was successful in applying to be part of the National Theatre Connections Programme 2016 and was given a hard-hitting script to perform by award-winning writer James Graham-Bassett.

Now the group is looking to fill the male lead - Leo - a confident, manipulative and controlling young man. This is a fantastic opportunity for a local young actor to be seen by a National Theatre director - and perform four shows in Seaford (The Barn Theatre) at the end of April before transferring to the 500 seater theatre in Horsham - The Capitol, in May. There may also be the opportunity, if chosen, to transfer to the National Theatre itself in London in May. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings (7.30-9pm) at the Barn Theatre. Any potential ‘Leo’s (aged between 14-21) should contact director, Paula Woolven for more details.
