Phoenix Choir is moving on
In sharp contrast to their Mozart concert last Saturday - well received by an appreciative audience - Phoenix Choir, directed by Michael Fields will move on when rehearsals resume on February 17 at 7.30 pm in All Saints Church Hall.
Last year’s summer concert of English music included folk song settings by John Rutter, and this current composer provides this year’s main piece through a major work, his Gloria, composed in 1974. Always happy to receive potential new members to the choir, any newcomers will be welcomed to Wednesday’s rehearsal with a view to perhaps joining the choir to perform this glorious work.
