Promoter Brandon Wright confirmed the first event back will be fully socially distanced and in accordance with all COVID guidelines in place at the time.

“We are national promoters and put on shows all over the UK. The company is based in London, but I am based in Brighton, and I am trying to keep things as local as much as possible.

“The show is nearly sold out. The full capacity of the venue is 220, but we can only have 40. It is very, very tight, but with singer-songwriters it will work well. It’s not like with bands where people would want to be standing up and dancing. People would tend to sit anyway for this kind of music, and we have got two great artists on the night.

“People are not going to be travelling a long distance. They are local artists, and it is really important to be helping the local performers and the local venues. We put on a lot of shows in this venue, and it’s a great place to play. They have got like a dressing room, and you can come from there from the back straight onto the stage. In a lot of venues, the artists have to be crossing through the crowd.”

Brandon is convinced there is an appetite out there for a return to live music: “I think people are really keen, and I don’t think people are scared of buying tickets. People want to get back to live music again.”

They will have a great night, Brandon says: “Georgia Nevada is a UK based chart-topping country singer-songwriter with a voice and tone that sounds as though she could have come straight out of Nashville.

“Georgia's musical journey began as early as is possible to remember when her nan would bring home country music CDs from her trips to the US to see her aunt. She was introduced to the likes of Miranda Lambert and Brad Paisley and resonated with the stories within country music as we all do. Georgia took the way these songs made her feel and was inspired to create songs that had the same powerful effect.

“2020 has been a breakthrough year for the artist. While COVID-19 has had a detrimental effect on the industry as a whole, Georgia has established herself as one of the most visible artists on the live streaming circuit, making a real name for herself. Then in September 2020, Georgia released her debut single Whatever You’ve Got, a song which shot straight to the top of the UK iTunes Country Charts.

“Sadie performs with warmth and authenticity, captivating her audience with her engaging but unaffected presence. Her heartfelt lyrics are inspired by events and people around her with every song telling a compelling story you do not want to miss.”
