Comedy classic at college's theatre
Godber's classic comedy Teechers is a 'hilarious quick-fire tour of teaching-eating girls, thuggish boys, desperate staff and idealistic newbies.'
In a multi-role drama three students playing 20 different characters launch into a witty expose of life in a typical school as a new teacher tries to enthuse his reluctant class to get stuck into something more exciting than smoking behind the sheds and disrupting classes. Alongside some cameo moments of school life emerges a poignant awareness of the power of drama to transform lives. It is fast, furious fun with high energy antics and plenty of contemporary music to keep the toes tapping and lift the spirits. The play is suitable for age 12 plus and runs from May 23-26 at 6.45pm.
