Brighton Early Music Festival lines up summer series

Brighton Early Music Festival (BREMF) is offering a midsummer season of outdoor events from June 5-July 11.

Several events have two performances to increase capacity and allow for social distancing.

Event 1: Saturday, June 5. The Forest of Mythical Breezes: French baroque music and dance with Flauguissimo Ensemble. 6pm & 8pm at Royal Spa Queen's Park

Event 2: Sunday, June 6. Bhrama-Vishnu-Shiva: Indian music, dance and storytelling with Aradhana Arts. 1pm & 3pm at Royal Spa, Queen's Park

Event 3: Saturday, June 12. Josquin & Fayrfax 500: an evening of polyphony with BREMF Consort of Voices. 6pm & 8pm at Royal Spa, Queen's Park

Event 4: Sunday, June 13. The New Troy: a journey through London's mythical origins with Lux Musicae London. 3pm at Royal Spa, Queen's Park

Event 5: Sunday, June 13. The Destined Knot: Italian madrigals with Fieri Consort and Lux Musicae London. 7pm at Royal Spa, Queen's Park

Event 6: Sunday, June 20. A Midsummer Night's Dream: Mendelssohn and Shakespeare with Pocket Sinfonia. 6pm & 8pm at St Mary's House & Gardens, Bramber

Event 7: Saturday, July 3. The Madrigal Reimagined: Monteverdi and Ovid with Monteverdi String Band and friends. 6pm & 8pm at Royal Spa, Queen's Park

Event 8: Sunday, July 11. Opera @ The Spa: Highlights from Francesca Caccini's La liberazione di Ruggiero. 7pm at Royal Spa, Queen's Park
