Team GB were against a stiff wind in the first half but kept the score to just 5-0 down at the break.

Dan Norton quickly levelled things up at the start at the esecond half after a great break from James Davies.

Mitchell added the two extra points.

South Africa put the Great Britain defence under pressure but Mitchell’s men withstood the pressure and triumphed 7-5.

Great Britain will face Fiji in the final tonight (approx 11pm BST) after Fiji won the other semi-final against Japan 20-5.
