Hailsham Harriers roar to race success at Goodwood
Hailsham Harriers Rachel Hillman, Darren Gillett and David Woollard (pictured) joined each other at the start line of the Goodwood Motor Circuit Half Marathon.
The race, which took place under strict Covid guidelines, saw runners race laps around the historic motor circuit, home to the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. Entrants raced their way around a smooth, traffic free course towards a chequered flag finish, receiving a themed medal, bespoke finishers’ T-shirt and many other goodies.
All three Harriers secured personal best times in the 13.1 mile distance. Rachel Hillman 1:21:06, David Woolard 1:21:23 and Darren Gillett 2:09:21.
Hailsham Harriers train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
