Eastbourne under-10s became East Sussex League champions in a top of the table clash against Sidley.

Sidley were the joint leaders and the only other unbeaten team in the league.

With everything to play for, Sidley chose to bat first and struggled against a very disciplined and tight bowling attack.

After a superb 5-12 for Zak Hebron and 2-12 from Sebastian Bradley, the home side struggled to 219-9.

George Gough was phenomenal behind the stumps and contributed to a number of superb run outs.

Tight bowling and fielding from all the players has been a feature all season and it was the same in this game.

Eastbourne opened the run chase with some watchful batting.

After Kieran McGreevy scored a useful 11 quick runs and contributions from the rest of the batting line-up, which included the highest score of the game from James Bradley - 17 - and a useful 13 from George Gough, Eastbourne ended their innings at 282-4 to clinch the title and become area champions.
