Whitmore and Redman claim the Carn Trophy

Louis Whitmore and Kevin Redmond won the Carn Trophy at Willingdon Golf Club with a total of 62. In second spot with a 62.5 were Dean Jarvis and King Hui on countback from Steve Wraight and Mark Hurst.

The Willingdon Millennium Salver, a Stableford competition, was won by Leigh Larkin playing off of 24 with 44 points.

In second was Jamie Harmer with 41 points and in third spot, Junior Ally Strachan with 40.

A Cross Country competition took place last Sunday with the members enjoying a different view of the course from usual. The overall winners with a gross score of 98 were Des Brockwell, Rob Hampson and Oli Hayes. Runners up with 105 were James Gietzen, James Redmond and Kevin Redmond. In joint third with 109 were the team of Derek Head, Mark Clement and Dave Edwards, together with Alan Huggett, Trevor Jones and Steve Marchant.

Willingdon ladies played for the Wenham and the Grannies Goblet. Wenham Cup: 1st Katie Reed 38 pts; 2nd Sara Whittaker 34, 3rd Sandra Callagahan 33. Grannies Goblet: 1st Mary Scott 39, 2nd Sarah Humphries 38, 3rd Kim Hepburn 37.
