Eastbourne Edge player Bradley Walls was top scorer and selected for the tournament dream team as the Edge powered to victory in the London Lions Cup.

The senior roller hockey side took part in the contest at the Millwall FC Community Stadium against teams from across London and the South East.

In the group stages, thanks to two wins, Edge qualified for the semi-final despite a loss to local rivals Hastings Devils.

In the semi-final, Edge played pre-tournament favourites, with top players from across North London and Hertfordshire.

Edge held on to a 2-1 lead for the last five minutes, but with 10 seconds to go conceded to take the game in to extra time.

A goal apiece in extra time took the game into a final period of sudden death.

After two minutes they scored the ‘golden goal’ that took them in to the final.

In the final, Edge again met Hastings but this time it was Edge who won a close game with a 2-1 victory to be crowned winners of the London Lions Cup.
