Sussex silvers for swimmer Snashall

Eastbourne Paralympian Peter Snashall collected two silver medals for Sussex in the Open Water Championships.

Peter represented Great Britain in the 2000 Sydney Paralympics and was part of the 4x100m freestyle relay team who took second place in the learning disability class.

At the Championships, Peter again showed his strength in water by coming second in both the men’s 5km and 2km swims within the 25-34 age category.

Peter, who swims almost daily in either a pool or open water depending on the weather, picked up the silver medals on behalf of the South East region and the Sussex Championship.

The event, over the course of a weekend in August, is organised by Eastbourne Swimming Club and attracts over a hundred swimmers within the amateur swimming association each year.
