Sue Fry lead the Hailsham Harriers home with a superb third place finish at the Sussex County Masters Championships.
She finished in 27m 42s , while winner Fay Cripp from the Chichester Runners finished as the winner in a speedy time 26.58
Superb support came in the form of Liz Lumber 4th, who finished fourth (1st and individual gold in 045),Alissa Ellis 6th (4th in 035),Sam Alvarez 9th (4th in 045)and Fiona Bugler 18th (4th in 045).
In the teams 045 Harriers took the gold with 14 points from Brighton’s Arena 80 23 points and Brighton & Hove 3rd with 29 points.
In the 035s Harriers claimed the silver just pipped by 4 points with 20 points from Arena 80 16points and third Crawley AC 21 points.
Harriers individual overall positions and times were 3rd Sue Fry 27m42s, 4th (1st 045) Liz Lumber 27m44s, 6th Alissa Ellis 28m29s, 9th Sam Alvarez 29m15s, 18th Fiona Bugler 31m01s, 31st Jacqui Lane 33m49s, 37th Helen O’Sullivan 34m28s, 42nd Julie Chicken 34m55s.
In the mens event Harriers had three in the 050 and two in the separate 040 race.
The 050 saw Paul Eccles first Harrier in 13th (35m05s) with Graham Purdye 18th (35m40s) and Alan Thornton 19th (36m03s) all well up the finishing order to gain their team 5th overall with 46points.
In the 040 race Steve Delea came 27th (46m22s) and Dave Mercer 32nd (47m57s).
