On Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22 the 54th National Tenpin Bowling Championships were held at MFA Bowl in Nottingham.
15 tenpin bowlers based in Eastbourne entered and enjoyed good success. Adam Purnell, 29, took the National Division A Singles title and ranked third overall in combined events.
In addition, the Eastbourne Outlaws team, Terry Webb, Allan Honisett, Greg Langston, Will Roarty and Adam Purnell, pipped the Worthing Predators by six pins to take the Men’s Division two title.
Adam Purnell has been bowling at David Lloyd Bowling in Eastbourne for 20 years and remains the only bowler to have ever bowled a perfect 300 game at the centre. Purnell is also no stranger to big competition success having secured his first National Title at the age of 18.
