Railway are on the right track after surprise win

XREA Railway pulled off a surprise 4-1 home win over high riding Eastbourne Snooker League division three side Glastonbury D.

Phil Fry defeated John Bligh on the black 50-41. Steve Glen, Stuart Smith and XREA captain Liam Brooks won the other frames.

Glastonbury D captain Chris Healey prevented the whitewash with a 51-35 win over Martin Fry.

The Fishermens Club A team won the opening four frames against Hailsham Club B before Reg Cork replied for the visitors to prevent a nap hand win.

Eastbourne Con Club recorded a 4-1 home victory against Fishermens F at the Devonshire Club. Mal Dixon won frame four 62-31 against Norman Griffin to record the solitary Fishermens F win.

R.N.O.C.A. posted a 3-2 home win against Hailsham Club C. Vic Harding, Charlie Anastasi and Colin Napier had the Navy’s winning frames.

Matt Barker overcame Navy skipper Roger Hobbs on the black 53-40 and Stella Bonnick outpointed John Keller 55-53.

Angling Club B reeled in the Fire Brigade with a 3-2 victory. Dave Gausden, Tony MacPhail and Dave Pringle recorded the winning frames. John Olive and Pete Marsden replied for the Brigade.

Hailsham MI F entertained Dolphin F and the home team took the match 3-2. Alan Wheatley won the final frame against Neil Rogers 65-31 to secure the win for HMI F.

Hailsham MI D held onto top spot in division three following their 3-2 away win over Seaford Legion.
