Glastonbury B recorded an emphatic 4-1 in their local derby match with Glastonbury C to maintain their place at the top of Division One.
Glastonbury B captain Matt Bray notched this week’s top break with a superb 81 in his 88-0 win over Matt Lee. Bruce Meeks prevented the clean sweep with a 78-31 win for the C team.
Dolphin A also notched an impressive 4-1 win over Glastonbury F.
The other derby match of the weekend saw HMI C triumph 4-1 over HMI Rutherfords thanks to a 4-1 break in his 65-25 win for Matt Barnes.
Elsewhere, Nuthouse A beat Seaford Con Club 4-1, Glastonbury A overcame Eastbourne Workingmen’s A with a 3-2 frame winning margin, Angling Club A outpointed Fishermen’s Club E for the 3-2 win, four-men Polegate Legion A lost 3-2 at home to Meads A and Nuthouse B remain at the foot of the table after a 5-0 loss to Hailsham MI A.
In Division Two, Hailsham Memorial Institute cemented their place at the top of the table with a 4-1 victory over fifth-placed Bollards.
Railway Club A kept up their chase for promotion with a 3-2 win away at Hailsham Club A while Hellingly suffered their third straight defeat at Hailsham MI E.
In Division Three, Hailsham Memorial Institute kept up their eight-match winning run with another 5-0 win, this time at Angling Club B.
