Leaders Glastonbury pocket another win

Glastonbury B, the current leaders of division one, retained their top place with a 5-0 whitewash of the bottom team Hellingly who are still seeking their first league win of the season.

Dolphin A kept up the chase for the division one title with a 4-1 home result against Hailsham MI B.

Adrian Potts won the solitary frame for HMI B as he defeated Dave Relf 57-21 in frame four.

Close on the heels of the leaders are Hailsham MI C. A 5-0 away win against Glastonbury F kept the pressure on at the top of the league table.

Luke Herring pocketed the top league break of the week, a 70 for Glastonbury C, Luke dispatched Gary Cooper of HMI Rutherfords 83-12 as Matt Lee, Bruce Meeks, and Ryan Knapman picked up the other Glastonbury C frame wins.

Brad Soper lost out to Damien Hilder in frame five 64-44 for the solitary home defeat.

Railway Club A won 3-2 at home against Nuthouse A. There were wins from Matt Turner, Paul Goacher and skipper Gary Moseley. Gary Callingham along with team mate Marcel Compton recorded the Nuthouse frames wins.

Richard Anderson the captain of Angling Club A was the solitary winner for his team as he beat Andy Wright of Meads A on the black ball 67-58.

Ivor Standen, Chris Quinnell, Mark James and Paul Denness completed the 4-1 Meads A victory.

In division two Eastbourne Workingmens Club A team went to the top in the Eastbourne Snooker League following a 3-2 away victory against Fishermens Club B.

Trevor Binks won the match for the Workers defeating the Fish B skipper Jeff Connor 52-11 in frame five.

Polegate Legion B got back to winning ways with a 4-1 home victory against Transport. The only blemish for the Legion outfit was a black ball defeat of Doug Izzard in frame three by Dave Taylor 58-51.

Derren Cornford of Meads B recorded a 31 break during his 65-28 win over Kia Movaf of HMI Topaz the Meads B team winning the match 3-2.

Seaford Royal British Legion fell to a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Bollards. Brian McCullen prevented the whitewash in frame five as he outpointed Chris Lock 53-34. Pete Roberts, Paul Sellings, Phil Marsden, and the skipper Mike Ashcroft won the frames for Bollards.

Eastbourne Workingmens Club B lost out 3-2 at home to Hailsham Club A. Tony Brett, Les Atkinson and Colin Denman enjoyed the winning frames for the visitors. Paul Richards and the skipper Glen Girling with the Workers wins.

Dan Anslow with a 36 break helped his team Hailsham MI E to a 3-2 home win against Devonshire Club A. Alan Hooker and Peter Crouch with the two other HMI E frame wins. Dave Manville along with team mate Tim Stirmey recorded the wins for Devonshire Club A.

Fishermens Club F team got back to winning ways with a 3-2 home victory over Hailsham Club D. Tim Smith, Mal Dixon and the skipper Mick Wheeler recorded the Fish F points.

Graham Dawson and Ray Woolston replied for the away team in frames one and five.
