Eastbourne Ladies are not only on top form this season in the league but also in the cup - as shown in their comfortable 6-1 win against Lewes 2s last weekend.
Both sides started well but it was Eastbourne who laid down the gauntlet with a goal by Katie Love from the first short corner of the game.
Eastbourne continued to dominate with another sliding goal by Love but Lewes weren’t about to give up with out a fight and shortly after they scored slotting the ball passed the keeper to make it 2-1.
Lewes continued to put pressure on Eastbourne but it wasn’t enough against a defensive press that saw the ball back into their quarter with quick reactions and high-quality transferring by Eastbourne’s rock solid defence.
With great skill from Katie Hilsdon and Claire Noble the ball found Nat Boyd who calmly placed the ball pass the keeper to make it 3-1 before half time.
Eastbourne continued to put pressure on Lewes with skilful runs from Steph Black and Hannah Williams which then led to a brilliant reverse strike from Steph Black at the top of the D to make it 4-1.
Despite the heavens opening another fantastically executed goal by Hannah Williams and a well-earned goal for Petch Lenham from the last short corner of the game finalised a 6-1 win.
Eastbourne will look to continue there winning ways against main rivals East Grinstead this weekend.
