Eastbourne Town U11s Yellow (pictured right) finished the season in style, sealing their seventh trophy of the season with victory in the Sovereign Saints six-a-side tournament.

On tricky pitches, they came through the group stage, finishing top after three wins and then crushing Rottingdean Village 7-0 in the semi-final.

They came up against Eastbourne Town U11 Whites in the final. It was a very tight affair between the two teams but Yellows managed won 1-0 to take the title.

The trophy will take its place alongside six others the team have won this season, including the Sussex Sunday League Eastern Division title, Sussex League knock-out cup and Eastbourne Borough and Polegate Grasshoppers tournaments.

They also acquired the Eastbourne Town youth FC manager and defender of the year awards, which was a great honour as these are seldom presented to the younger age groups.

Special mentions to: Barry Elliston (players’ players of the season), Callum Buchanan, Morgan Hagan, Max Duff, Emerson Brito (Manager’s player and club defender of the season), Andrew Briggs (club defender of the season), Alex Targett, Rohan Collins (most improved player of the season), Charley Kendall (top goalscorer), Callum Knight, Arthur Fleming, Zak Bolton, Keddie Croft, Charlie Wilkins (sportsman of the season), Harry Davies, Joshua Hardy and Harry Gibson.

Next season they will be competing in the Sussex Sunday League Division One, which will provide them with a huge challenge on the back of this impressively successful season.
