Eastbourne Netball Club walked away with first and second place trophies at the Claverham Community tournament.
They entered two teams hoping to get the better of eight rival sides.
The girls stormed through their respective groups, winning all of their games to claim a semi-final place.
Winning their groups meant the two teams would not meet in the last four and when they both secured further victories, an all Eastbourne final was on the cards.
Eastbourne B, captained on the day by Samantha Kennerson, secured a narrow win and the skipper said, “It was such an exciting day, both of our teams set out in the right frame of mind, aiming to win! We all had such fun.”
There was individual success too as third team goal attack Lucy Bignall captured the medal in the goal shooting competition.
The club has three teams spread across divisions one to three of the Eastbourne Netball League. Having won Division two in the Summer League the first team went on to finish second in Division one in the Winter season.
The team aim to go one further come this summer, “We only have it in our mind to take top position for the Summer league,” added Kennerson.
Eastbourne Netball Club train weekly on a Monday evening and are looking to take on new members for a fourth team. You can find details on their website: www.eastbourne-netball.com or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
