Glastonbury record a sixth whitewash

Glastonbury B won their sixth consecutive Eastbourne and District Snooker League division one 5-0 victory, this time whitewashing Eastbourne Workingmens Club A.

There were no recorded breaks but a comprehensive victory by 330-104.

Hailsham MI C kept in touch at the top of the table with a 4-1 home win over the bottom team Fishermens Club E. Dave Proud secured the solitary point for the Fishermen E with a 57-49 win against Jack Lander.

Dolphin A remain in third place following a 4-1 away win over Angling Club A.

Peter Lavington outpointed the Dolphin A captain Peter Buckland 56-10 for the only Angling A win.

Glastonbury C in fifth place secured a 3-2 home win over Hailsham MI A with Luke Herring posting a 51 break in his 84-23 win against Ekrem Vatansever.

Glastonbury A, trying to avoid relegation, took on another team in the bottom reaches of Division one Nuthouse B and claimed a 3-2 home win. Paul Croft andTokki Yamaguchi secured wins while Matt Smith defeated Gary Callingham on the black 46-40.

Meads A overcame Nuthouse A 3-2 with wins from Gavin Pierce, Kevin Walbrin and Chris Quinnell.

Glastonbury F travelled to the HMI to play HMI Rutherfords - their journey rewarded with a 4-1 win.
