England’s number-one hockey goalkeeper Maddie Hinch will be at the Saffrons on Sunday to officially open the Hockey Club’s new pitch.
Hinch, who has gained 48 caps for her country and recently helped England to Commonwealth Games silver, will also be on hand to help with junior training.
The club open day will see the kids session from 10am-12noon ahead of the official opening with the mayor of Eastbourne and Hinch at 12.30pm.
The first ever match on the new pitch will follow between the Mens fourths against a Mixed Invitational side.
There will photo opportunities with the England star and five raffle winners will feature in a penalty shootout against Hinch with all proceeds going to the Eastbourne Pier fund.
All are welcome to attend the club open day.
