Hockey goalkeeper Rebecca O’Dwyer has been selected to represent England in the Sainsbury’s School Games at Manchester next month.
Rebecca, 17, lives in Old Town and is a sixth form pupil at Eastbourne College. She developed her passion for hockey as a pupil at St Andrews Prep school and then as a junior at Eastbourne Hockey Club. She played county hockey for Sussex from under-13 to under-17 and has played at regional level every year from the age of 12.
In 2014 she starred for the winning under-18 Saxon Tigers team in the England Hockey Futures Cup.
Rebecca currently trains with East Grinstead Ladies who play in the England Hockey Premier National League.
