Sam Brooks has been selected to represent England at the Four Nations U18 Hockey Tournament in Holland over the Easter weekend.

Before travelling to Holland, Eastbourne College student Sam, will complete two days of familiarisation and pre-tournament training with the other England players at Bisham Abbey, the national sports centre in Marlow.

In Holland, the England team will be competing against national teams from Spain, Germany and the host country. Sam will be one of two goalkeepers in the England tournament squad.

In 2010 Sam played for the England U16 hockey squad and received 10 caps against Germany, Spain, Scotland and Wales.

In the 2010 Four Nations U16 Tournament he helped England win the Silver Medal and was awarded the goal keeper of the tournament.

These selections to play for his country are a great honour for Sam and a fitting reward for many hours of dedicated training and match play for the Eastbourne College first team and the Saxon Tigers Hockey Club.
