The Cyclo Cross cycling season came to a close with success for Henry and Gil Cordner of Eastbourne Rovers.
Both competed in the London Cyclo Cross League competition– an event that consists of 15 races from September to February hosted across the south east of England which has entrants coming from far and wide.
Henry (11) managed to secure second place in the overall standings in his age group.
Gil (9) achieved first place in his age category, successfully fighting off some fierce competition from the London Clubs.
They have also both won the titles of Eastern Regional Champs and South East Regional Champs earlier in the season, confirming the fact that these brothers will be ones to watch in the upcoming summer season of cycling events.
Cordner senior, John, also did very well, coming fourth in the veterans of the London CX League.
Henry and Gil attend Eastbourne’s ‘Pedal Power’ - which is British Cycling approved and part of the Go-Ride initiative offering coached cycling skills sessions for 6 to 16 year olds.
Sessions are tailored to the age and ability of riders with the aim of improving cycling skills and confidence in all forms of bike riding.
The British Cycling qualified coaches help brings out the best in the young riders.
Sessions starts Friday 4th April at 6:15pm at the Eastbourne Sports Park, Sussex Downs College
