The first Royal Eastbourne Colin Booth Memorial Trophy was won by the Bankers in fine conditions last Saturday.
The Bankers consisted of Alec Viney, Allan Sutch, David Hunt and Duncan Orr and their 58.9 net in the Texas Scramble format was a mere .3 better than the Divots and Goliath.
The Downs Ray Goatley Memorial was won by Henry Hatt (junior) John Hatt, George Clancy and Darren Vine. The prizes where presented by Ray’s sister Jean French The prize giving auction raised £1,400 for charities.
Sue and Graham Mills won the Plummer Salver mixed event at the Downs with 39 points. The course was playing long after the recent wet weather but scoring remained good. In second was Margaret and John Kavanagh with 38 points from Julie and Barry Wooler.
Division one of the Downs par 72 September medal was won by Kieran Reidy on 68 from Shaun Harrison on countback from Gary Reid on 70

A poorly supported scratch medal at the Royal Eastbourne was won by Hamish Houston who shot a two-over-par 72.

Only 11 players took to the course for the scratch event.
