Bede’s student Callum Jackson has just jetted off to South Africa as part of the England u19 Cricket tour.
The tour involves two test matches and five one day internationals against South Africa u19s.
Callum, who lives in Alfriston, is a wicket keeper-batsman, and has played cricket for Sussex CCC since U11, and is just entering his third year in the Sussex Academy.
In the last two years Callum has featured in most of Sussex 2nd XI games and has made an impact by scoring two hundreds and a number of fifties.
Alan Wells, Bede’s Director of Cricket, and a former Sussex Captain and England player said, “Callum has worked relentlessly on his game for many years in order to achieve his goal of becoming a professional cricketer.
“By being selected for the England U19 tour to South Africa he is one step closer, I wish him all the best.”
