Eastbourne United will look to continue their fine recent league form under manager Tobi Hutchinson as they travel to Arundel tomorrow (Saturday).
United are up to 12th in the league table as their 4-3 victory over Shoreham made it four league wins in their last six, scoring 18 goals in the process.
Arundel are struggling for form lately and have not won in five matches. Their last victory was against Hassocks on October 10.
Prolific striker Liam Baitup was back on the score sheet for United against Shoreham. He opened the scoring on 18 minutes but the hosts pulled level eight minutes later through Bradley O’Conner. In a crazy spell of football, Dean Stevens put United ahead once more on 38 and Callum Dove made it 3-1 just two minutes later. But Shoreham hit back with two strikes in as many minutes as Okwute Izuchukwu and Craig Goodsir levelled it up with goals in the 42nd and 43rd minutes.
United pressed forward and got their reward when Tobias Clifford made it 4-3 with five minutes left on the clock - United, under Hutchinson, are becoming quite the entertainers.
