Eastbourne United have finally secured the services of striker Drew Greenall from Sussex County Division One outfit AFC Uckfield.
The striker, who is no stranger to The Oval having played for the club before spells at Hailsham Town and Little Common, has been on Paul Daubeney’s wanted list for some time now and the United boss is delighted to finally have his signature.
He said, “I have been after Drew for about two years now as he is a big target man who scores a fair few goals. He will give us an extra attacking option as well as fresh competition for places in the squad.
“AFC Uckfield were reluctant to let Drew go and I know some other Division Two clubs were ready to move for him, but I am glad we finally have him back at The Oval.”
The frontman boosts an already-strong attacking force of free-scoring Liam Baitup and Pete Cooper, who have netted 14 goals between them in just four matches.
Greenall was cup-tied for United’s League Cup fixture at Peacehaven and Telscombe on Wednesday night but will be available for selection when the club host Wick this weekend.
