Seaford Town’s disastrous 2014 continued last Saturday as Ben Barnett’s men lost 2-0 against near-neighbours Saltdean United in a Sussex County League Division Two fixture.

Town have recorded just one victory throughtout the entire calender year and that came way back in February in a league match against AFC Uckfield.

Other than a hard fought draw against Oakwood in March, Town have lost every single other league and cup fixture in 2014.

Boss Barnett was hoping to finish the year on a positive note last Saturday but it took second from bottom Saltdean just 15 minutes to take the lead at the Crouch through Tirso Gacias.

Saltdean’s Elliot Dawes completed the misery for Town with a second goal on 80 minutes.

Unsurprisingly, Seaford are rock bottom with zero points from 19 games with a goal difference of -47.

Town will hope the new year of 2015 will improve their fortunes.

On Saturday they welcome fifth placed Mile Oak to the Crouch.

(kick-off 3pm).
